MY NAME IS BOB FRANCIS, I’M A TRUCK DRIVER.
(Written and Composed by Michael Drive)

My name is Bob Francis, I’m a truck driver. I can drive all night long ‘cause I got a pillow in the small of my back It makes me feel good. You want to know about feeling good? I got crushed velvet seats that are more comfortable than vinyl so I can get to where I’m going with greatest of ease. I got an in-dash TV, a mega-bass radio, and a nice Christmas tree air-freshener for the comfort of others. I’m a big, bearded, burly guy and sometimes I look like hell, but I got lots of tenderness, country music, and plenty of cargo. In fact, I got 5 tons of cargo to take 500 miles and have it there by 6 in the morning, they always want it there by 6. It’s night time now and I see the freeway lights go by one by one. They make me happy and take my mind off the SICK, twisted world in which I drive and put it on some other things that make me happy, like my friend Bubba, my small puppy, and the girl that I love. Her name is Jo-Lynn, she’s real pretty, we’re gettin’ married next month, movin’ out of Montana, and settling in Idaho, land of the tater-tots but you know what? SHE’S GOT THIS FEAR I WON’T COME TO THE WEDDING. I call her every day from the truck stops, “I love ya darlin”, I say, and she always makes me promise I’ll be there. The tells me AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN and it really wears on my nerves because she either has a perception that I’m lying or a major self-esteem problem but that’s OK because in light of the fact that she keeps telling me AGAIN AND AGAIN, I know she’s not insane but she truly loves me and only wants to be reassured. She says… “Say you will be there”, She says… “Say you will be there”. “Say you will be there”. “Say you will be there”.
