Chapter 13:
GOD WON’T LEAVE YOU… IF YOU DON’T LEAVE GOD:
Many people only want to think about the parts of the Bible that give them the ‘warm fuzzies’ to make them feel good. [The devil has little work to do on them; they deceive themselves.]
2Tim. 4:3-4; “After their own desires, they shall heap to themselves teachers (i.e. pastors), having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth and shall be turned unto fables.”
Heb. 13:5 and Deut. 31:6;(So here is another popular scripture often taken out of context. They use this to promote their apostate, false ideals of God, that His love is “unconditional”); “God will never leave you nor forsake you.” (But what about the following verses, which are just a few of MANY verses, and are quite CONDITIONAL!? We never hear THESE in church, and with the ‘lukewarm’ generation we’re in, you don’t have to ask why):
2Chron. 15:2; “…The Lord is with you WHILE you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but IF YOU FORSAKE HIM, HE WILL FORSAKE YOU!”
2Chron. 24:20; “…Why do you transgress the COMMANDMENTS of the Lord, so that you cannot prosper? BECAUSE YOU HAVE FORSAKEN THE LORD, HE ALSO HAS FORSAKEN YOU.”
Rom. 11:22; “See the goodness AND SEVERITY of God: on those who have fallen, severity; but on you, goodness, IF you CONTINUE in His goodness. Otherwise you also shall be CUT OFF.”
John 15:2,6; “Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, My Father takes away… If a man does NOT abide in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered… and cast into the fire, and they are burned.”
Ex. 32:33; “Whoever has sinned against me, I will blot him out of My book.”
Rev. 3:5; “He that OVERCOMES, shall be clothed in white clothing; and I will NOT BLOT OUT HIS NAME OUT OF THE BOOK OF LIFE, but I will confess his name before My Father, and before his angels.” (To “overcome” means to be faithfully Obedient to the death, having overcome the world, the flesh, and the devil.)
